One of the things we love about visiting Maryland is the proximity to major cities like Washington, D.C.
This year’s plans included taking the train into Washington. Round-trip coach tickets cost under $50 for both of us! Union Station was impressive. The first stop via Uber was Arlington National Cemetary in Virginia.
You can now make reservations to go up in the Washington Monument online. Although it was a rainy morning, we had good luck with not getting soaked. Even the photos taken from the top came out better than expected. The views of the Capital and White House among many other historic buildings were a sight to see.
