Our next stop – Tallahassee!
But first!… had to make a quick stop in Gainesville because we left pet groceries in Nicole’s car. Oh the drama!
Just a couple of random pictures of an interesting tunnel we went through – I think outside of Tallahassee somewhere.
We had just a one night lay over in Tallahassee on the way to Pensacola (too far to drive in one day). And a chance to see our good friend “Cat Dog” again. We camped on her land next to her house. Hooked up to her electric and water and it was great! She made us a great dinner of Shepherd’s Pie from venison! It was delicious! It was great to see her again! Too bad Darrell had to work but we are hoping to get together camping somewhere along the way!
The tree is a eucalyptus that Cathy’s dad planted when she was a kid.
The next morning Cathy went to work and we headed out to Pensacola. It was a beautiful drive in.
In Pensacola we hooked up with my brother whose daughter just got married. We figured they would be a little more relaxed after the festivities – one of the reasons we didn’t see them on our last trip. We had a blast. Got to know my brother for really the first time, it was great!
Our park was lovely but the beach was small and the big beach on the gulf did not allow dogs. Of course with the weather we really didn’t want to go to the beach anyway.
Fog started to roll in as we were taking our first walk around the campground.
In fact, we had a lot of fog while we were there!
Not to say we did not have some beautiful weather too, we did!
We layed low the first night, after all the wedding festivities and the drive and all. Next night was Friday. Friday night is the big night in town so we went with my brother and his wife and met up with some of their friends and did the Pensacola Pub Crawl! Had so much fun!
Nicole was in town with a friend in the Navy that is going off to flight school and we ran into her during the pub crawl (we were leaving and she was going in, figures).
The next day we went to the National Aviation Musuem at Pensacola Naval Air Station. It was pretty cool. My brother used to fly F-14’s on to carriers and is now a FedEx pilot! He had some interesting insight and knowledge that we might not have learned otherwise! Thanks Tom!

This is the plane my brother flew. Pretty cool! We had a really good time there (Nicole looks bored but she really enjoyed it).
Afterward we went for lunch. It was nice and sunny but cold.
Nicole spent the night and left the next day.
That night we went to The Bridge Bar and watched the sunset with DeiDei and Tom. It was beautiful!
This is the Holiday Inn Resort on the Gulf across from our RV park. Really pretty when lit up at night!
On our last full day in town we met up again with DeiDei and Tom at Red Fish, Blue Fish a really cool fun in the sun bar and restaurant. It was supposed to rain but turned out to be a beautiful day! 
On our last day in Pensacola we finally took a walk over to the Gulf side to check out the beach! It was gorgeous of course and if it hadn’t been cold it would have been hard to leave…
After our walk we hooked up and headed out to New Orleans! Next adventure to come soon!

Visiting the National Aviation Musuem at Pensacola Naval Air Station was such a blast. Not only did we get up close and personal with some incredible aircrafts, but we got so much insight from my brother-in-law while there.
